Mackay School Dist. #182, Mackay, Idaho is looking for a Vocational Agriculture Instructor/ FFA Advisor. Areas of instruction could include teaching welding, aquaculture, hydroponics, fabrication, & leadership. Instructor should be science endorsed. Other endorsements are welcome. School size is about 60 High School students, with 51 students enrolled in agriculture classes. FFA has its' own travel bus, and use of a FFA pickup. A nine member advisory board is in place with excellent support. Shop size is 60'X80', class room size is 20'X30' with 12 computers. There is a 42 ton iron-worker, plasma cam, stick and wire feed welders, 30'X40' hydroponic greenhouse, 30'X100' film greenhouse, and a 20'X20' aquaculture lab. An extended contract is available. Other duties would include attending Summer Conference, the Custer County Fair, supervising a livestock-chain program, and helping at the school. Arizona Agribusiness & Equine Center is seeking qualified agricultural education instructors for 5 positions in Arizona.Four (4) positions are in metro Phoenix area and one (1) position in a rural county (Yavapai) in northern Arizona. AAEC is an Agricultural based early college charter school. Many of our campuses have equestrian programs with stables and arenas. Some campuses have green houses and organic gardens. All campuses have veterinary science programs with vet labs. We work with both small animals and large animals. We have competitive FFA programs and national winners in equine and veterinary science. AAEC also participates in a student veterinary experience in Africa on a game preserve every summer.
