ASTE Clubs

Student organizations in the School of Applied Sciences, Technology and Education are preparatory clubs focused on strengthening students' abilities and work experience for specific career opportunities. Students participate in skill building activities, socialize with students who share career interests, become involved with service projects and network with potential employers.

Ag Tech Club

Ag Tech Club members are generally agricultural machinery or agricultural systems technology majors at USU. Students participate in activities designed to develop skills and knowledge specific to agricultural systems technology.

Aggie FACS

This club is open to students of all majors. It is affiliated with the state (UAFCS) and national (AAFCS) organizations, providing students with the opportunity to participate in professional meetings, network with practicing professionals, and exchange ideas with other FACS students throughout Utah.

Agricultural Communication Club (ACC)

The USU Agricultural Communication Club fosters career development among future agricultural communicators; facilitates public relations and communication within the College of Agriculture; nurtures professional development; and encourages student involvement in the university, community, and industry.  ACC is a chapter of the National Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow.

Alpha Tau Alpha (ATA)

Alpha Tau Alpha is a National Professional Honorary Agricultural Education Organization that plays a vital role in the preparation of those who have chosen a major in agricultural education or extension education.

Collegeiate FFA

Collegiate FFA enhances your collegiate experience through service and engagement to create premier leaders, enable personal growth, and ensure career success.​​ Members from all majors across campus meet once a month to plan service learning projects, participate in professional development activities, or just have fun!

Design Academy

The Design Academy is a performance based program which distributes skill awards for passing through a curriculum. The current curriculum focuses on VEX Robotic Competitions where students design, build and program competitive robots. They also have the opportunity to join a competitive team and compete at the regional level. Successful teams may advance to the national level.

Society of Aviation Maintenance Professionals (SAMP)

The Society of Aviation Maintenance Professionals at Utah State is an organization for aviation mechanics, pilots and students with he goal of improving professionalism in the people and industry. It also provides opportunities for growth, advancement and education.

Club members receive contact with industry professionals, fundraisers and social and academic activities. They also receive help seeking out internships, scholarships and employment opportunities.

 

Technology and Engineering Education 

Technology and engineering education majors have access to this departmental club that provides an area with computers, a printer, a snack bar, an activities area and a meeting room. Ninety percent of technology and engineering students are club members that actively take part in socials and fund-raising events. Club members can participate in Vex Robotic Competitions, where previous club members have taken first place in the VEX world championship for Autonomous Programing and Sensors, second place in the Excellence Award and fifth place in Bracket Play.

 

USU Pilot Club and NIFA Flight Team


The pilot club at Utah State University provides students who have an interest in aviation with an environment to interact with fellow aviation enthusiasts. Activities range from social gatherings to professional development trips.

USU Young Farmers and Ranchers

Sponsored by the Utah Farm Bureau Federation, the Collegiate Young Farmers and Ranchers is open to college students of all areas of study who are interested in agriculture. We offer meetings with guest speakers and social opportunities, leadership development and educational conferences, local, state and national competitive events and an introduction to involvement in local, state and national Farm Bureau programs.
