Utah State University Aviation has two Cadet programs; one with Envoy and one with Skywest.
Envoy's Cadet Program is designed to help the most promising future pilots make a smooth transition from the classroom to the cockpit. Envoy will place you as a paid Flight Instructor at one of our numerous affiliate programs and you'll enjoy all the benefits of being an Envoy employee. At select partner schools, employee benefits include travel privileges for you and your immediate family on American Airlines and American Eagle flights, comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) retirement with company match contributions; and paid vacation and sick time accrual.
The SkyWest Pilot Pathway Program provides a direct path for exceptional pilots with a desire to Take Control of their aviation careers. Enhanced seniority, guaranteed final interview, and access to pilot mentors are just a few of the upgrades students can receive by becoming a SkyWest cadet on your way to becoming one of SkyWest's more than 4,000 professional pilots. Unlike an internship, the Pilot Pathway Programs allows students to remain at their campus to complete their flight training until they are able to meet SkyWest's Airline Transport Pilot standards. Each cadet is individually mentored by SkyWest pilots and may have the opportunity to participate in SkyWest recruiting events and outreach programs.
